Preschool Group Piano Classes

for young beginners ages 3 1/2-5

Don’t have a piano yet? No problem! This class is about introducing the fundamentals and experiencing the music. No practicing required!

Kids will be introduced to the piano in much the same way children initially learn a language—through listening and speaking. This foundation of music appreciation, rhythm exploration, keyboard geography and piano improvisation will be a springboard for future learning. 

Whether learning in class or participating in recitals, group students develop confidence and experience pride while exploring and sharing music with others.

All inclusive tuition includes your student’s spot in the class, 2-3 annual recital opportunities, access to in-studio instruments and technology, weekly progress notes for parents and… lots of fun and music enjoyment with friends! (Group classes will run with a minimum of two students and a maximum of six students.)

Piano Club

Group piano classes for students age 6-12

These classes are multi-level fun experiences where students will apply their music education in a real world group setting. 

Students will learn fundamentals, music appreciation, rhythm, piano improvisation, and so much more.

Group Voice Classes

Group voice classes for students age 6-12

Does your child love to sing? Do you want to see your child explore that area of music?

Students will learn the foundational elements of music, how to hear and match pitch, and ways to use their voices in a healthy manner.

Our energetic and enthusiastic approaches to teaching allows students to get excited about music!

Private Lessons

Private piano & voice lessons for students ages 8-18

At Playtime Music Academy we love our group classes! Once a student has participated in group classes for several years they may be ready for private lessons.

A student is ready for private lessons when they have reached the late elementary or intermediate levels. These students are habitually investing extended time into their practice. And are ready for advanced; music theory, piano technique, note reading, chording, improvising, and aural skills through various modes of fun instruction on and off the bench. Comprehensive lessons and happy kids, who says work and play don’t mix! 

Teachers are warm, encouraging and care about your student and what they learn in music lessons. We believe when kids feel supported and safe to create and explore, they will feel happy and confident and learn so much more!

Let’s talk about practice. It’s the famous (or infamous) question of the hour! We get it and we know what works. Using practice tools, incentives, challenges and having clear instructions on what to do each week (for students and parents), we have seen student success. But we have to be clear…there will be consistent commitment involved. It may not always be easy, but it will always be worth it!
